Iva Johnson, 75, Casselton, ND, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004, in the home of her son and daughter-in-law near Pelican Rapids, MN, under the care of family and hospice.
Iva Belle Stoll was born April 8, 1929, at Rugby, ND. The family lived in Wolford, ND. She graduated from Hesston Academy in Hesston, KS, then attended Hesston College for one year. She married Fay V. Johnson August 21, 1949, in Casselton. They lived in Texas for several years, then returned to Casselton. Fay died in September, 2003. In addition to raising her family, Iva worked in Casselton for Central Cass Public Schools and in Fargo, for the New Life Center, Lutheran Social Services and MeritCare Hospital. She was a member of the Casselton Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her children, Edwin L. (Esther), Pelican Rapids, MN, Pauline (Rafik) Khoury, Adamstown, MD, Thomas (Rebecca), Minneapolis, MN, Robert (Phyllis) Bristow-Johnson, Burlington, VT, Dianna (Mark) Gagner, Casselton, Donald Sturm, Beaver Dam, WI; sisters, Twila (Dellis) Schrock and Joyce (Richard) Roth, both Fargo, Ardys (Gil) Wyse, Vernon, BC; brothers, Terrence (Kay) Stoll, Garden City, ID, John (Linda) Stoll, Wolf Point, MT; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 in West Funeral Chapel, Casselton.
Funeral: Saturday, August 7, 2004, at 11 in the Casselton Mennonite Church.
Burial: Casselton Cemetery.
