North Dakota State senior guard Amanda Girodat will be a senior again. Head coach Amy Ruley said Tuesday that Girodat has completed her paperwork to the NCAA for a medical hardship and will return next season.
Girodat overcame two knee injuries to lead a late-season run of success for the Bison. NDSU won six of its last seven games.
"She definitely wants to play," Ruley said. "I think she realized you get just so many opportunities to do this."
Ruley said she expects Girodat's status with the NCAA Athlete Reinstatement Committee to be a formality.
"There's no reason to deny her," she said. "Its cut and dried."
