FARGO - Police on Tuesday arrested Ashley Kenneth Hunter for the murders of two men in north Fargo.
Police had previously referred to Hunter as a person of interest in connection to the killing of a 45-year-old at a north Fargo apartment complex Monday afternoon.
Police on Tuesday said both deaths showed “injuries consistent with violence.”
The initial call came into regional dispatch as a fire. Emergency responders found the body of a man with violent injuries, WDAY-TV reports.
The first homicide was discovered in an apartment building on 12th Avenue North after officers responded to a welfare check. Authorities found a dead man with violent injuries.
Police and SWAT later surrounded another apartment complex on 1st Avenue North to look for Hunter after spotting the suspect vehicle, a black Dodge pickup, on scene.
Hunter has a criminal history. He pleaded guilty to reduced assault charges two years ago after stabbing a friend during a threesome when they got into an argument.
