BELTRAMI, Minn. -- A small explosion at a West Central Ag Services granary in Beltrami, sent two men to the hospital this morning, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency services responded to the explosion, which started a fire, at about 8:40 a.m., according to a news release. The Beltrami Fire Department got the fire under control and secured the area.

The two men, Ethan Hasler, 42, of Beltrami and James Gunufson, 47, of Fertile, were taken to Riverview Health in Crookston for unknown injuries, according to the release.

The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined, according to the Sheriff's Office. The incident is under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
