PELICAN RAPIDS, Minn. – One Pelican Rapids resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI and another hospitalized following a two-car crash here Tuesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
William Hamberg, 36, was arrested and may face a charge of driving drunk after the crash at the intersection of Highway 59 and Appaloosa Road.
Hamberg, driving a Chevrolet Blazer southbound on the highway, crashed into a northbound Toyota Camry at about 3:20 p.m. as he attempted a left turn onto Appaloosa, the state patrol said.
Stacie Abarca, 31, the driver of the Toyota, was taken to the hospital, the state patrol said. Her condition was non-life-threatening.
Her passengers, Adrianna Abarca, 8, and infant Adeline Abarca, did not appear to be injured, the state patrol said.
