BAXTER, Minn. – A Fargo woman and a Brainerd man have died as a result of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle, head-on collision Friday afternoon on Highway 210 west of Baxter, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
Killed in the crash reported at 12:22 p.m were the drivers of the two vehicles, Marilyn Rich, 66, of Fargo and James Freeman, 51 of Brainerd.
Gene Rich, 81, a front-seat passenger in a 2005 Toyota Prius, was seriously injured and airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
According to the Patrol, a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Freeman crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Prius.
Road conditions were dry.
Law enforcement agencies and firefighters from Cass and Crow Wing counties responded to the crash.
