MOORHEAD – Crews are looking into the cause of an early morning Tuesday house fire here.

The fire at 611 6th Street South broke out around 5 a.m. when two people awoke to the sound of crackling fire. Firefighters had flames out within 10 minutes.

Everyone in the home got out safely and were not displaced.

There was $5,000 to $10,000 in damage, mostly to the attic.

An exact cause is not known, but officials believe it is related to the home's older wiring. The fire marshal is investigating.
