FARGO — Maybe you've heard them already. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds have arrived in advance of their performances at the Fargo Airsho this weekend.
Flying their iconic F-16 Fighting Falcons, the Thunderbirds will be the marquee act of the 2019 Fargo Airsho on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday at Hector International Airport.
The Thunderbirds participated in the very first AirSho in 1989. The weekend's performance will be the team's 18th appearance of 2019 -- which included the "Minnesota Air Spectacular" last month in Mankato, Minn., and last weekend's performance in Rionegro, Colombia.
In Fargo, the Thunderbirds will be joined at the show by several aerials acts, including world champion aerobatic and air race pilot Kirby Chambliss, Minot native Kent Pietsch and Leap Frogs U.S. Navy Parachute Team.
This year's show will run both days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
