FARGO — North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz have ordered government agencies to fly state and United States flags at half-staff Tuesday, July 23, in accordance with President Donald Trump's proclamation in honor of former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.
Stevens died Tuesday, July 16, at age 99. He had served 34 years on the Supreme Court.
Burgum asks North Dakotans do the same at their homes and businesses.
In memory of retired Associate Justice John Paul Stevens and his 34 years of service on the Supreme Court, all government agencies are directed to fly flags at half-staff tomorrow, in accordance with a proclamation by @POTUS.
