THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. - Two people are dead and others injured after a two-vehicle crash that involved six people on Saturday, July 23, in Pennington County.
Michael Buckley, 33, of Fargo, and Amber Danzeisen, 25, of West Fargo, were killed when the 2000 Toyota Camry Buckley was driving west on County Road 3 went through a stop sign and was struck on the passenger side by a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country van southbound on Highway 59, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A second passenger in the Toyota, Kie Schultes, 1, of West Fargo, was seriously injured, the state patrol said.
The driver of the van, Rachel Pearce, 27, of Andover, Minn., and two passengers in the van, Julian Pearce, 3, and Emmerick Pearce, 0, also of Andover, received non life-threatening injuries, the state patrol said.
The crash site is a few miles southeast of Thief River Falls. County Road 3, also known as Center Street East, is the road that leads from Highway 59 to the nearby Seven Clans Casino.
Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said the crash happened around 7:50 p.m. Saturday. Just after 8 p.m., police scanner traffic indicated a dispatch of an air ambulance from Sanford Medical Center to the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol is being assisted by Pennington County.
