RUCH, Ore. - A former North Dakota State University student was killed in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 27, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department reported.
The body of Alexis Lynn Stormo, 23 was found in her home in the 400 block of Tumbleweed Trail here. She had suffered serious injuries, the Sheriff's Department reported.
Todd Levi Wilcox, 35, of Ruch, was taken into custody at the scene.

Stormo, formerly of the Summit and Watertown, S.D., areas, had attended NDSU for three years, studying agronomy, according to her obituary by Wight and Comes Funeral Chapel, Watertown, S.D.
Firearms were not believed to be involved in the incident, the sheriff's report said.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Watertown. The Rev. Janine Rew-Werling will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the church and Saturday prior to the service.
Stormo was born Sept. 17, 1992, in Watertown to Gordon and Beth Stormo.
She graduated with honors from Watertown High School in 2011, then attended NDSU.
She is survived by her parents; siblings, Casey James Stormo, Summit, Brock Jordan Stormo and Abigail Jean Stormo, all Summit; and her grandparents, Shirley Stormo of Watertown and Harley Brockel of Selby, S.D.
