FARGO -- Fargo police have identified the man who died Tuesday, Feb. 28, after he was pinned between two vehicles at a business in south Fargo.

The victim was identified as Nathan L. Martinson, 41, of Fargo.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. at Custom Truck and Auto Shine, 3401 4th Ave. S.

According to Fargo police:

Martinson and a co-worker were working on a vehicle inside a garage of the business when Martinson opened an overhead door and the co-worker assumed it was clear to back a vehicle out.

The driver had limited visibility and didn’t notice that a vehicle was parked outside of the garage.

The driver backed into the other vehicle without realizing Martinson was pinned between the vehicles.

Martinson was breathing when emergency workers were on the scene, but died later at a local emergency room.

The incident remains under investigation, police said Wednesday, March 1.
