Estimated $600,000 in damages after fire at South Fargo apartment building
FARGO -- Fire crews responded to a fire on a balcony on the 2nd floor of an apartment building this morning in south Fargo.
The fire was first reported at 8:10 AM at 2709 15th Street South in Fargo.
When they arrived the fire had spread to the third floor and attic of the building.
Fire fighters continued to supress the fire and search for any occupants.
Multiple occupants within the building were found and removed to safety.
There were no major injuries to any occupants and nobody was taken to the hospital.
There was extensive damage to the building and because of that all 17 occupied apartments aren't liveable.
Damage costs at this time are estimated to be nearly $600,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Fargo Fire Department was on scene with assistance from the Fargo Police Department and Fargo Medical Ambulances.
