MOORHEAD – Two people were jailed following a high-speed pursuit Monday night, Aug. 21, that started in Clay County and ended near Kindred, N.D.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department:
The chase began about 11:30 p.m. about 10 miles south of Moorhead on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
A pickup truck without license plates sped away when a sheriff’s deputy tried to stop it, and the chase eventually crossed the Red River into North Dakota.
Stop sticks were used, and a tire blew out on the pickup near Kindred.
From there, the pickup driver and a passenger fled on foot but were found with the help of a Fargo police dog.
The pickup driver, Hayley Jensen, 22, and her passenger, Michael Kunert, 26, were both arrested, the sheriff’s department said.
