GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Law enforcement has bragging rights over firefighters for a full year after winning the battle of the badges in Grand Forks.
Officers and firefighters spent Wednesday, Sept. 11, donating blood to DakMinn Blood Bank in honor of the sacrifices made on 9/11. A whopping 76 people donated. Police said it's their way of giving back on a solemn day.
"As police officers and firefighters we understand there's a need for blood donations," said Cpl. Jorge Elizondo of the Grand Forks Police Department. "We're doing our part to support the community and the surrounding areas."
