FARGO — Grocery stores in the Fargo-Moorhead area are looking to hire people who temporarily lost their jobs due to coronavirus-related closures.

Both Hornbacher's and Cash Wise Foods now have hundreds of openings because of skyrocketing demand, according to Hornbacher's president Matt Leiseth.

Even with stores eliminating overnight hours, teams still need help keeping up. Leiseth said his stores need cashiers and people stocking shelves.

"Whether the doors are open or not, we really just need to be continuing stocking and getting the food out for people so they can keep shopping as normal," he explained.

Leiseth said stores already have several dozen applicants. They request those who are interested in a job apply online.
