FARGO — The Cass County Sheriff's office announced that its Tactical Operation Center went live Tuesday morning, March 24.

If rural community members have questions, the sheriff's office wants to expedite the process, allowing direct access to law enforcement to provide information about the COVID-19 crisis and potential spring flooding.

The TOC will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to start. The office will monitor the amount of calls to determine if the hours need to be adjusted to accommodate the community. If people have questions related to the coronavirus or spring flooding, they're instructed to call 701-241-8000.

“As your sheriff, I cannot stress enough that the health and safety of the citizens of Cass County will continue to remain this office's No. 1 priority," Sheriff Jesse Jahner said in a press release. "I want to make sure our office is accessible to our community members and felt it appropriate to open up the TOC effective immediately to allow that access."
