JAMESTOWN, N.D. — A Texas man is facing several charges connected to a spree of incidents that police began investigating after getting several calls complaining about a driver.
Jonathon Lopez, 29, was arrested and is in the Stutsman County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, reckless driving, fleeing, failure to halt, driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of an accident.
At around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, police investigated calls for a man driving recklessly.
One caller saw the driver of the car chasing another car on 5th Ave NE, near the University of Jamestown campus.
Police then located the suspect vehicle, which they later discovered was being driven by Lopez.
His vehicle eventually came to a stop in a parking area along the 1500 block of 11th Ave NE.
Lopez then got out of the car and ran away on foot before getting arrested by responding officers.
