FARGO — Special Olympics North Dakota (SOND) announced that Fargo will host the Special Olympics state leadership conference and banquet Nov. 17-18, at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S.
The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by an awards banquet from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost to attend the two-day conference is $25 and an additional $25 to attend the banquet. The conference resumes at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and concludes at noon.
The event will provide training to athletes, coaches and volunteers, and the banquet will honor those who have gone above and beyond for SOND.
