Man wounded in Valley City shooting, hospitalized in Fargo

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Police continue to search for a suspect that shot a Valley City man Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the northeast part of the city. When they arrived at the scene, they found one man who had suffered from gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, then transported to a Fargo hospital.

He is in stable condition, and his name was not released.

Authorities put up caution tape on Second Ave. NE., between Fifth St. NE. and Sixth St. NE.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

“The investigation is ongoing at this time and evolving as interviews are done and information is gathered,” police said in a news release.

WDAY News reached out to the Valley City Police Department and North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation on Thursday, but could not reach them.

The Barnes County Sheriff's Office denied to comment on Thursday.
