Fargo Police Chief David Todd presided during a ceremony Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, to honor Officer Jason Moszer, who died in the line of duty three years ago.
Todd spoke about Moszer’s sacrifice and the flag was lowered to half staff in honor of Moszer, who was shot and killed at age 33 in a 2016 standoff with a domestic violence suspect.
”It's a moment in time in our lives we will never forget, nor should we,” Todd said. "We must remember and honor those who gave and sacrificed everything in serving their community."
Jason Moszer's family attended the ceremony. His father, David, said they keep close ties with the local law enforcement community three years after the tragedy.
A color guard also presented arms during the ceremony.
