MINOT, N.D. -- One lucky person in the Minot area will be $2 million richer, thanks to a winning Powerball ticket.
The prize was won during Saturday, March 16's evening drawing, in which the winner correctly selected the five white balls -- but not the red Powerball. That combination of winners normally would be worth $1 million, but the winning player also purchased the Power Play feature.
Nobody has come forward with the winning ticket. Winners have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prize.
The ticket was sold at Safari Fuels at 1500 37th Ave SW in Minot. The store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket, and an additional $5,000 because the ticket included the Power Play feature.
This is the second winner of $1 million or more sold in North Dakota in 2019, according to North Dakota Lottery Director Randy Miller.
