VALLEY CITY — A man is hurt after a crash on I-94 Sunday, June 9, about four miles east of Valley City.

North Dakota Highway Patrol said at 8:35 p.m., Steven Eversole Jr. of Mandan was driving east at a high rate of speed and lost control of his pickup when he tried to exit the interstate.

The pickup then slid into the ditch and rolled. Eversole was thrown from the pickup and then pinned underneath it.

A farmer in the area noticed the crash and came back a short time later with a large loader to lift the pickup and free Eversole.

Eversole was airlifted from the scene to a Fargo hospital.
