FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — A West Fargo woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after a two-vehicle crash in Otter Tail County Sunday night, June 23, that left five people injured, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Fish Lake Road in Dunn Township.
A pickup truck driven by Mikaela M. Kujanson, 21, of West Fargo, was westbound on Fish Lake Road when it failed to yield and pulled out in front of an SUV driven by Andy J. Stearns, 35, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., that was northbound on Highway 59, the patrol said.
The SUV T-boned the pickup truck, the patrol said.
Stearns and Kujanson both suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, as did three passengers in the vehicle Stearns was driving, according to the patrol.
The injured passengers were identified as Jolee E. Miedema, 33; Cade E. Stearns, 1; and Hayli G. Stearns, 7, all of Detroit Lakes. They were taken to Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes.
Kujanson was arrested on suspicion of DWI, the patrol said. She was treated at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
