BISMARCK — The 54-year-old man killed after his motorcycle collided with an oncoming vehicle early Monday morning about three miles east of Bismarck has been identified as Deon Prinsloo of Wing, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

Prinsloo was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Burleigh County 10 just past midnight July 8 when it collided with a 1998 Toyota Tacoma in the westbound lane, the Highway Patrol said. The vehicle's driver, Heather Harper, 52, of Bismarck, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Prinsloo, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown off his bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
