LAKE PARK — A 59-year-old Hawley, Minn., man was injured after his vehicle went flying 90 feet through the air along U.S. Highway 10 near Lake Park on Wednesday night, July 10, about 6 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol said Keith Allen Haats was traveling east on the four-lane highway when his 1998 Pontiac Bonneville left the roadway west of 160th Avenue, flew 90 feet and then landed on the other side of the avenue.
He was taken to Essentia Health St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes with non-life threatening injuries. Five law enforcement agencies responded to the accident, along with the Lake Park Fire Department.
The Patrol said Haats was wearing his seat belt and that alcohol was not involved.
