Fargo motorcyclist badly hurt in crash to face drunken driving charge

FARGO - A motorcyclist seriously injured in a crash here Friday morning, July 6, is expected to be charged with driving under the influence, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

FARGO – A motorcyclist seriously injured in a crash here Friday morning, July 6, is expected to be charged with driving under the influence, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Tyson Scheid, 42, of Fargo lost control of his motorcycle about 12:45 a.m. on the 52nd Avenue exit ramp of Interstate 29 and went into the ditch, the patrol said.

The motorcycle hit a pole and rolled several times. Scheid was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the ditch, the patrol said.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time, the patrol said. He was taken to Essentia Health in Fargo to be treated for serious injuries.
