WATERTOWN, S.D. – A 39-year-old man died Tuesday night, Aug. 7, in a one-vehicle crash 13 miles north of Watertown in northeast South Dakota when his vehicle went into the median and crashed into a pillar that supports an overpass over Interstate 29.
The name of the man is not being released pending notification of family. He was the only person involved.
His 2012 Chevy Cruze was southbound on I-29 about 6:30 p.m. when the vehicle went into the median. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
