PALERMO, N.D. — One man is dead and a woman is seriously hurt after a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 2, eight miles east of Palermo.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.
A 51-year-old man from Rainy River, Ontario, was driving east on the highway, pulling a small trailer behind a motorcycle.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle and the trailer started to spin.
The motorcycle and trailer then flipped over, slid into the median and came to a stop on its side.
The driver and a 50-year-old female passenger from Rainy River were thrown when the motorcycle and trailer flipped over.
The driver was taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot to be treated, but died from his injuries.
The passenger was also taken to Trinity Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
