PELICAN RAPIDS, Minn. — A man had to be rescued Tuesday, Sept. 10, after he became trapped up to his neck in a grain bin in Otter Tail County.
At about 1 p.m., authorities were called out to a grain bin in rural Pelican Rapids for a report of a man who became trapped in a grain bin, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office. The man was clearing out a clog and didn't realize there was still feed in the mixer, the sheriff's office said.
After the clog was cleared, a sensor tripped on and dumped feed onto him, covering him up to his neck and trapping him, according to the sheriff's office.
The man was eventually freed with help from the Pelican Rapids and Rothsay Fire Departments and Ringdahl Ambulance services. Authorities said the man was not injured in the incident.
