CROOKSTON, Minn. — One person sustained minor injuries after a semi truck struck a combine Friday evening, Sept. 20.
Polk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident involving a semi and a farm combine at the intersection of 210th Avenue Southwest and 250th Street Southwest in rural Crookston Township, just east of the city of Crookston.
Authorities say upon investigation, it appears the semi struck the header attached to the combine. Both the semi and the header sustained severe damage, a release said.
Gerald Michaelson, 65, was driving the combine. Eduardo Aguilera, 25, was driving the semi, he sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
Crookston Fire Department and Crookston Ambulance assisted on scene.
