DILWORTH, Minn. — Police have released the names of the individuals involved in Tuesday afternoon's crash at a Dilworth intersection where three people were sent to the hospital.
The accident was caused when a blue sedan, driven by 21-year-old Haylee Elliot. On Nov. 19, Elliot ran a red light and hit a black SUV driven by 23-year-old Israa Abas, according to Dilworth Police Chief Ty Sharpe.
Elliot, her passenger, 26-year-old Shelby Ball and Abas were taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries. Sharpe said Abas was released from the hospital on Tuesday night (Nov. 19). As of Friday afternoon, Elliot and Ball were still at a Sanford hospital but in good condition.
Elliot is expected to face charges of reckless driving, failing to stop at a red light and causing an accident that resulted in injury, Sharpe says.
