MOORETON, N.D. — Five people were injured Sunday, Feb. 16, in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 13 a mile west of Mooreton, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office.

A pickup traveling west hit a second vehicle that was trying to make a U-turn after parking on an approach ramp on Highway 13, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Randy Engquist, 63, of Crete, N.D. was driving the pickup with his wife, Cynthia Morin, as a passenger. They were both taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minn., with minor injuries.

The vehicle that was attempting a U-turn was driven by Kristina Zink, 19, with passengers Grant Anderson, 19, of Andover, Minn., and Cody McClean, 19, of Bordulac, N.D.

They were also taken to St. Francis Medical Center. No life-threatening injuries were reported.

Both vehicles were totaled. The sheriff's office is investigating the crash.

Mooreton is about 48 miles south of Fargo.
