BISMARCK — A motorcyclist in Bismarck died following a head-on collision at 6:48 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

The rider, 28-year-old James Kassian, was traveling east on Burleigh Avenue when he failed to successfully negotiate a turn and drifted across the center line into the westbound lane, according to a report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Kassian crashed into a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by 66-year-old Danny Privratsky. Privratsky did not suffer any injuries.

Kassian, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
