GONVICK, Minn. — A GoFundMe has been started for 16-year-old Warren Thompson who is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while bicycling outside of Gully on Wednesday, July 1.

Thompson was biking over a hill when he was hit by a car and had to be flown to Sanford hospital in Fargo with life-threatening injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver and passenger of the vehicle weren't injured.

According to the GoFundMe, Thompson suffered serious damage to one of his legs and a traumatic brain injury. On July 6, doctors used a new medication to shut down his brain function to allow it to heal and relieve pressure.
