FARGO — Two West Fargo residents were injured after crashing into a traffic light post and electrical box late Friday night, July 23, in south Fargo.

The crash, which took place along 52nd Ave. S. near Timber Parkway, occurred when an unidentified 35-year-old male driver lost control of his 1992 Honda Civic. The car then struck the curb before crashing into the traffic light post and electrical box, causing severe damage.

The driver and a 20-year-old male passenger were transported via F-M Ambulance to Essentia Hospital in Fargo to be treated for their injuries, which were determined to be minor.

Both were wearing seat belts, though the crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The Fargo Police Department and Fargo Fire Department also responded to the crash.
