MAHNOMEN, Minn. — A 45-year-old Minnesota man was flown to a Fargo hospital with life-threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a semi on U.S. Highway 59 in Mahnomen on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at about 6:20 p.m.

Torrey Robert Winger of Aitkin, Minn., was southbound in his 2000 Chevy pickup when it collided with a northbound semi driven by Rodney Lynn Olson, 65, of Hendrum, Minnesota, at the intersection with East Jefferson Avenue, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Winger was taken by Sanford Life Flight to a Fargo hospital with life-threatening injuries. Olson was not injured.
