BUXTON, N.D. — A truck driver was cited for careless driving after crashing into a snowplow near Buxton just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Gregor Little, 44, was driving a semi north on Interstate 29, 4 miles south of Buxton, and was trying to pass a snowplow driven by 45-year-old Brian Foss when snow fog reduced visibility, causing the semi to rear-end the snowplow, the patrol said in a news release.
Foss suffered minor injuries. Little was uninjured and cited for careless driving, causing injury to an operator of snow removal equipment and damage exceeding $1,000 to snow removal equipment, the patrol said.
Both vehicles were damaged and remained on the road for about three hours while crews cleared the area, the patrol said.
Buxton is a town about 26 miles south of Grand Forks.
