Alcohol involved in life-threatening crash near Thief River Falls

THIEF RIVER FALLS — A Thief River Falls man suffered life-threatening injuries after rolling his car late Saturday, March 30.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP), the accident happened at around 10:17 p.m. on Highway 75 near Saint Vincent Township in Kittson County.

An MSP incident report shows Gabriel Adam Lillestol, 32, was headed northbound when his 2014 Ford Focus veered off the left side of the road and rolled.

Lillestol was not wearing his seat belt at the time and alcohol was involved in the accident, according to MSP.

No other vehicles were involved and no one else was in Lillestol's car.


Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene along with the Kittson County Sheriff's Office.

Lillestol was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND to be treated for his injuries.
