NELSON, Minn. — A structure fire was reported Saturday morning in Nelson, Minn., resulting in total loss of the structure. No injuries were reported.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office report, at 7:13 a.m., 64-year-old Darwin Kirk reported that his barn was fully engulfed in flames on one side.
Kirk was able to move cattle and horses away from the barn before the Alexandria Fire Department arrived on scene to extinguish the fire, according to the report.
The barn, located at 2014 Homestead Road NE., was a total loss.
