Camper totaled in Richland County fire

WAHPETON, N.D. — A camper that caught on fire 3 miles west of Wahpeton Monday, Aug. 19, is considered a total loss, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency responders shut down one westbound lane of Highway 13 for about an hour as they worked to extinguish the fire. The fire remains under investigation by authorities.

The camper was owned by David Witkowski from Gwinner, N.D. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Dwight Fire Department, the Richland County Sheriff's Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the fire.
