FARGO - Fire investigators were unable to determine the cause of a blaze that destroyed a mobile home and displaced a family of six here Saturday.
Investigators narrowed the origin of the fire to the living room/kitchen area but couldn't pinpoint what started it, Fargo Fire Marshal Norm Scott said today.
The fire was reported at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday at the home of Stephen and Bobbi Jo Garcia at 3506 Casino St. N., in the Riviera Heights mobile home park.
Their 17-year-old daughter, who was home alone at the time, escaped the burning home through a bedroom window. She was treated for smoke inhalation.
The home was a total loss. Scott said he didn't believe it was insured.
The fire also caused exterior damage to a neighboring home.
