FARGO — A new member has been named to the five-member Fargo Municipal Airport Authority.
He is former City Commissioner John Cosgriff, whose five-year appointment by Mayor Tim Mahoney was approved by the Fargo City Commission on Monday night, April 6.
Cosgriff replaces Virginia Clark, whose term expires Wednesday.
Clark was one of the members of the authority who worked with city and airport officials on a newly worded and controversial agreement between the two groups.
Cosgriff served three terms on the Fargo City Commission from 1994 to 2006.

The airport authority oversees numerous operations at the Hector International Airport complex, although they don't work on flight scheduling as that is left to the airlines.
