MOORHEAD — Crews responded to an apartment fire on Friday, May 1 in Moorhead after flames were seen on a deck.

Authorities responded to the apartment at 2505 Country Club Parkway at 12:15 p.m. where a fire was on a deck that extended to the unit above, according to Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Wallin.

Residents evacuated from the building and crews were able to fight the fire from the outside and put out the flames, Wallin says.

Two units suffered smoke damage and the unit below will likely have water damage according to Wallin.

No person was in the primarily affected unit, and no injuries were reported.

The cause and cost of damages are still under investigation.
