FARGO - A Fargo man was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty Monday, Dec. 4, in Cass County District Court to aggravated assault and menacing charges.
The felony charges against Aaron James Knutson, 37, stemmed from July, when he was accused of holding a knife to the throat of a man who agreed to give Knutson a ride.
According to court documents:
The victim told authorities he and a passenger in his truck picked up Knutson from The Northern Gentleman's Club because he asked for a ride.
An argument ensued regarding the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, and Knutson put a knife to the victim's throat and caused him to bleed.
The driver and his passenger then attempted to calm Knutson until police arrived, court documents stated.
In addition to the prison time, Knutson was ordered to pay $560. He was given credit for having already spent 45 days in jail.
