Domestic violence call, police chase ends in arrest of man in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS - A man is in jail after a Mar. 7 police chase in Grand Forks.

Grand Forks police responded to a call about a domestic violence situation around 10 p.m. The call led to a search for 51-year-old Dana Decoteau.

When officers found Decoteau and his vehicle, he refused to stop and attempted to flee. Officers forced his vehicle to stop in the 3600 block of Gateway Drive.

Decoteau was taken into custody and has been charged with fleeing police in a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under suspension.

The initial domestic violence situation is still under investigation.
