BISMARCK - A Minot, N.D., woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of charges related to taking videos of herself sexually exploiting a child under a year old and selling them, U.S. Attorney Christopher Myers announced Tuesday, March 13.

Chief U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Ashley Marie Moore, 29, on Monday, March 12, on charges of sexual exploitation of a child and distribution of images depicting the sexual exploitation of children, Myers said in a news release

Moore was sentenced to 25 years in prison on the sexual exploitation charge, and 20 years in prison for the distribution of images charge, with the sentences running concurrently. She must also serve 10 years of supervised release, Myers said in the release.

According to Myers:

Between July 2015 and October 2015, on three separate occasions, Moore videotaped herself sexually exploiting the infant while at her residence on the Minot Air Force Base. Moore then sold the cellphone videos for $50 each to a male she knew in Alabama named Leo Greene.

The videos were later discovered on Greene's phone by family members after he died of cancer. His family members immediately reported the videos to Alabama law enforcement officials.

The case was investigated by the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Minot and the Ward County Sheriff's Department in Minot.
