UPDATE: Fargo police say a man with a gun is still on the loose this morning after robbing a liquor store.

The robbery happened just before midnight at Royal Liquors on 1606 Main Avenue. Employees of the store say he pointed a gun at two of them, demanding money from two different registers. Once he got the cash, employees say he left the store.

No word on how much he made off with. Police describe the man as a skinny black male, approximately 5’10”-6’ wearing a dark blue windbreaker, black pants and sunglasses.

A K-9 team was called in to search for the man, but didn't find him. There wasn't any security camera footage available from the store.

At this time, the incident is still under investigation.


FARGO - The Fargo Police Department is reportedly searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at Royal Liquors in Fargo.

Police were called to the liquor store on Main Avenue and 16th Street just before midnight for a report of a man with a small silver handgun, who stole money from the store. 

WDAY was the only crew on scene during the breaking news, and watched multiple squad cars patrol the area.

There's no word yet from police on both information and if any arrests have been made.
