VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Authorities here say a woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant Friday night, Nov. 8, after she fled a traffic stop in central Barnes County.

At about 7:40 p.m., a Barnes County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on County Road 22 near 109th Avenue Southeast, according to a news release from the Barnes County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies chased the vehicle until it stopped about 7 miles north of Sanborn, where the female driver got out of the car and ran into a row of trees near the road, the release said.

The woman was arrested without incident and was in custody at the Barnes County jail Friday night where charges are pending, according to the sheriff's office.

Sanborn is about 7 miles west of Valley City.
