ARTHUR, N.D. — Three people were arrested Tuesday, Feb. 18, on various charges in connection to stolen property in rural Arthur, N.D.

An investigation led Cass County sheriff's deputies to impound a van containing a large amount of stolen property, the sheriff's office said.

Police arrested Cody Steven Landa, 26, of Wheatland, N.D., on suspicion of burglary, possession of methamphetamine, failure to transfer title and driving under suspension. Joshua Lee Moen Jr., 43, of Christine, N.D., was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of methamphetamine. Police also arrested Bailey Marie Backstrom, 23, of Wheatland, N.D., on a driving under suspension charge.

As of Thursday, Feb. 20, the sheriff’s office had not been able to locate all the owners of the stolen items.

Officers urge residents to check their property to see if they have been a victim of the burglaries. If so, they're asked to call 701-241-5800 or contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 and ask to speak with a deputy.
